The mountain cottage "Plampalačka" is located in a secluded spot in the beautiful, peaceful, protected landscape of the Krkonoše National Park. You can find it (with a good sense of direction) below the summit of "Kobyla" mountain, 2 km from Jestřabí v Krkonoších at an altitude of 800 m above sea level. There is no paved road leading to it — the last kilometre is on an unpaved track.

 

Directions

Jilemnice — at the Hrabačov roundabout, continue towards Vítkovice. After one kilometre, turn left up a steep hill towards Roudnice. Stay on the main road past Víchová nad Jizerou and Křížlice all the way to Roudnice. Drive through Roudnice and at the T-junction go straight towards Jestřabí. After emerging from a small wood (you will pass a bus stop on your right), turn immediately right along the horse paddock.
Follow this tarmac road around the hill, keeping right, for almost two kilometres until you reach a small airfield. Just before the airfield, take the dirt track. Continue along the contour for one kilometre. Plampalačka is the only log cottage above the track.
